Do you add people to your Facebook friends list if you don't know them but they go to your school?

For instance, I'm in university. I get Facebook suggestions on who to add to my friends list. I have no idea who the person is but they went (or currently go) to my university. Is it common for people to do this on Facebook?

Yes. Some people add me and they don't even know me, at all. They're in different countries...awkward, haha.
You should add them, it gives you more friends and connection.
This one girl added me cause I commented on the same status as her. That's happened 5 times. And I don't even know her.

I don't know if other people do this or not. But I for one don't do this and I don't plan on doing that, especially after an assembly i had today about the risk of my personal information leaking out to google or 3rd party cookie.
It depends on how well you keep your information private from ppl u dont realy know. if you trust them then i guess it's okay.

It is very common and maybe they want to know you. It doesnt really matter and depending on if you are a guy or a girl you might want to decide if you want to or if you do not..

It just depends if you want to or not I normally add anyone that goes to my school
