Facebook relationship status?

Me and my boyfriend of 5 years have decided to have a break for a little while to get that 'magic' back. I was on Facebook yesterday and discovered that his relationship status is hidden and mine now simply says in a relationship but not who with. I being perhaps a little nieve and desperate in the heat of the moment edited my settings to say in a relationship with 'his name' once again. Nothing changed on either of our profiles, didn't expect it to but today on my profile it has come up as in a relationship with ... on my wall. His profile still doesn't state a relationship status. Would he of had to accept the relationship request for it to appear on my wall today?

Yes, he may did. Because if he did'nt its just gonna appear as "in a relationship" without his name on it. And now you have his name on it. He must have accepted it
