Should i drop this friend?

Me and this one friend used to be really close, he'd call me, I'd call him, we'd talk on Facebook, like each others statuses etc. About 5 months ago he started hanging around with this group of friends, and now all he does is hang around with them, its like if I invite him to hang out, it has to fit his schedule as far as hanging out with them, like he just can't miss a day with them. He basically stopped texting and calling, and I'd message him on Facebook and he'd barely ever reply. He says he doesn't see the messages but I don't believe him. Recently I sent him a message saying I wasn't going to be taking the initiative anymore, that I'd still hang out if he wanted but I was done trying. He didn't respond to that even after 5 days, so after that I unfriended him, and he hasn't noticed at all. I'm sick of this guy neglecting our friendship, even if he doesn't get my messages, its no excuse for him to not try to hang out with me in a six month time period or at least send me a message. F*ck him.

You can't force people to be your friend. If he wants to hang out he will and if he doesn't he won't. Simple as that. No need to get offended or be hurt or do the unfriending thing like you did. Find some more friends.

Speaking from exp I think u should move on like he has. People change over time for a number of reasons. If he was a good enough friend he wouldn't blow u off
