Can you use the host file to block a facebook profile?

I know you can use the windows host file to block a certain website, but does it work for specific directories/links WITHIN websites?

I don't want to block access to facebook but I do want to block access to a specific person's profile - which is why I'm asking. I will not remove this person from my facebook friend's list -- just don't want to be able to look at his profile, but want him to be able to see mine.

No, that won't work. As its name suggests, the 'hosts' file only affects hosts.
