Do Facebook groups accomplish anything?
Specifically, relating to Facebook's policies / user interface and/or those of Facebook apps (as opposed to support /awareness for RL causes)
I see a lot of petitions, just wondering whether anyone can give an example of one which was successful? Ads |

Dont join the petetion ones, or one group vs another group ones, accomplish nothing, and are just stupid. Ads |

The petitions almost never have any effect whatsoever. If they have any effect on facebook's administrators the effect has to have been fairly minimal, as they tend to just do what they feel like.
As for accomplishing anything, groups used to be a lot more prominent in the early days of facebook, especially when groups were limited just to your campus network. Then the groups listed on a person's profile actually told a bit about that person. |
