If someone doesn't accept your friend request on facebook do you become one of their subscribers?

facebook: I added someone today, hit the "add friend" button. a few hours later, she still didn't accept my friend request, but on my profile, it said I was subscribed to her? I don't know if this is a result of her rejecting my friend request or if I accidentally hit the subscribe button? I went to her profile and unsubscribed obviously (does she think she is a magazine or something..?) thanks for the help

Rejecting friend request some times shows as subscriber. Subscribe to someone's update doesnt think that they are magazine. Subscribe means we will get the public updates of the person who we have subcribed.

YES!! You can explicitly go and unsubscribe yourself in such cases
