twitter help.........?

i retweeted someone's tweet and i want to know if they know that i have retweeted their post, but i do not folllow the person on twitter so have they seen it or not

On the right hand side of the screen is a link called 'Retweets'. when you click on this link you'll see the tabs:

Retweets by others
Retweets by you
Your tweets, retweeted

The person you retweeted will be able to see who has retweeted their comment on the third option. They will be able to see everyone who has retweeted them.
