Do you ever feel insecure about the number of Facebook friends you have?

I am very shy, so I don't have a lot of Facebook friends. I also don't add every person I meet - I only add them if I am actually friends with them. So I only have around 68 friends.

One time my boyfriend at the time made a comment about how few friends I have (although I have just as many as he does in real life). But it made me feel like people judge others on their friend count. So do you ever feel insecure about it?

nope trust me not everyone is friends with everyone on their facebook friend list. i only talk to about 20 people on my facebook and i have about 500.

I have over 1000+ people on my Facebook account.

I know a fair majority of those... Through Holidays, Work, Friends, and Business Partners, Etc but how many friends you have online does not matter.

It is how many good friends you have "offline" that matters.

It seems like he is trying to make you insecure, dont let him. Tell him that you are happy with the amount of friends you have and that they are good friends.

shouldnt matter at all. I know people that add random people just to have higher counts. and they have perverts messaging them all the time because they are stupid and put them selves out there.. i know a girl who has over 2000 friends but garentteed she know maybe 40 of them in person.. its a ridiculous thing to feel insecure about
