You have to be a celebrity. Sorry.

Twitter does that automatically with famous people. This is to verify they are indeed the person they claim to be and not an imitator.
Sorry. |

You can't. They are no longer accepting requests for this, and this is something they do for you, not something you can do on your own.
The purpose of this is/was to ensure that people trying to follow a particular celebrity know they are following the actual celebrity, not an impersonator or "joke" account. If you're just two guys on YouTube, they wouldn't have verified your account anyway. Verified accounts are for people whose names are known across the globe and might have impersonators who are either trying to piggyback on their popularity or trying to be funny. Once your YouTube channel becomes wildly popular, then MAYBE you can try to get a verified account - if they are still verifying accounts. Like I said, for now they aren't accepting any new applications. |

Ignore the killjoy answers below. there are dozens of "official twitter" accounts that are managed by corporations and well known #brands as well. its not just a perk for famous people (or infamous people, for that matter.) just send a tweet to @ev or @jack and they will get around to your req eventually.. especially if you are significant somehow. and try not to take this all so seriously.
