How do I delete from the facebook timeline map?

I've been going crazy trying to delete items from the map portion of the new facebook thing - timeline.

Does anyone know how to do it? It looks like there was a partial answer from Nadia, but it was deleted, what's that about?

that's easy,
1. go to your map
2. click the symbol
3. click the date (that will take you to a new window)
4. on the top right corner, click the cross symbol (delete symbol)
