Is this too weird to add her on facebook randomly?

Well basically there is this girl on my college course that I like and I've spoke to her a few times. I have found her on facebook and I'm tempted to send her a friend request or is it too weird?
Should I or talk to her more and ask if she has got facebook and go from there??
