Google Chrome and Facebook don't seem to work properly together, anyone tell me why?

When I go onto Safari, everything works perfectly fine, but then when I use Chrome, timeline isn't there and I have to enable it each time I log on which has been happening for a while now, but recently when I click send on a message, it doesn't do anything at all. Not too mention the fact that shockwave crashes quite often when playing videos, or if I'm loading a video and making it full screen, it's just a blank screen. My Chrome is up to date, I have a Macbook Pro which is in great condition, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
