how many friends should you have on facebook?

how many facebook friends should you have to be popular but not over the top and adding every person possible?and what does all the terms mean?plz help give as much info as possible

Depends on what you use facebook for. Some people only invite friends and family that they know in real life, such as myself and have about +150 over a year or so.

Other people have over +500, but it's mainly used for games like FarmVille and Mafia Wars.

Its not how many or how popular, its how many 'quality' friends you have, I only keep a dozen or so on my list, whats the point of having 600 whne you only talk to 6 of them ?

Who cares about popularity? Just add your closest friends. That's what facebook is meant for.

As many as you want, facebook is really just a place to hear, chat and talk to friends. So if you dont care to hear what someone has to say dont add them. I have lots of friends I wont put on facebook cause they post 100s of messages a day and I cant be bothered.
