Why is he being this way with me? What is going on...?

So there's this guy I met about 2 weeks ago. We first met through a university facebook group and decided to meet up after having a couple of conversations. We both go to the same university obviously so we see each other pretty much every day. So on the first day when we met up, we ended playing an online xbox game together and just hung out. For the rest of the week we met up and played xbox together, gradually getting more flirty by the day, like for example he would take my stuff and I would wrestle him to get it back. This continued for about a week. We got closer and closer and after about a week of meeting him face to face, he asked me to be his gf. It was kind of sudden for me but I said yes because I knew i liked him but i didnt know what my feelings were exactly. So since then he's taken me out to walk near the river and has taken me out on a date. That was when things started to get serious. We ended up having long make out sessions that lasted like 5 hours straight and gradually moving to second and third base by day. So this one day( few days ago), he slowly started to move to 'home run' and in the moment i felt okay but then later on i kinda regretted it so I told him to stop and he said he okay and that he'd never do it again. Today however, he started to move into having sex but I felt very uncomfortable so i told him to stop. Also, he told me that he loved me just before he wanted to have sex with me. He kept saying please i promise we'll not do it again for a long time. Bare in mind we're both virgins. He kept begging me but I kept saying no because I felt uncomfortable.. so i kinda just walked out of his room without saying bye. I just got a text from him saying "im sorry for everything. I hate myself right now :/ i didnt know how great a thing I have with you and I pretty much ruined it. I understand if you're mad and dont want to talk but just know i meant what i said i wont do this ever again, and i mean it". So what do u guys think this guy really is all about? Does he only want sex? Does he actually love me? What am I supposed to do now?

if he tries to have sex with you again then it means he only want sex but if he waits until you let him and both fell comfortable then it means he loves you

Well how old r u? And if a guy loves u he tries to show you through sex and he seems like he loves u maybe you should have sex with him show him you love him back and maybe he thinks your pushing him away give it a chance<3

Based on the fact that you guys were moving up bases by a matter of DAYS, I would say he only wants you for sex. But I could be wrong. Tell him you only want to take it slow, and if he's not willing to do that or keeps trying to get in your pants, it's obviously only for sex and you need to get out.

WOW when i started dating my ex something like that happened and he said in a letter the exact same thing,EXACT SAME WORDS o_0 and yes he was only for the sex he had like 3 girls at the same time,he played the paper of the good boyfriend that stayed home etc and of course it wasn't..........if he really wants u he will wait ,be careful ....
