If you're going to get rid of them off facebook then why not go all the way and get rid of them altogether. There is an add on for Firefox and IE9 that prevents the ads from being displayed on all webpages. Search for Ad block and that will do the trick.

There's a cross button on the right corner of the ads...click it and report it..so once its reported..it will just show this:

Thanks for your feedback. Over time, this information helps us deliver more relevant adverts to you.

Please reply if it helps =D

PS: This doesn't help -.-..

in general web experience can be improved significantly by blocking add servers etc. which is done quite easily and safely by editing HOST file of your machine. this adds another layer of protection and blocks adds from showing up in your browser (regardless which browser you use).
while editing host file can be tedious work, there are several free HOST files with instructions. I use this one:

http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

read more about it here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Host_file

it is simple and easy, install it once and forget about it. i've been using this for years and can't imagine computer without this.
