My girlfriend and I have been dating around ten months. We have been bestfriends since we were little until she moved a few towns over. I was a kid so i didn't have Facebook or Twitter or even her phone number. But in eighth grade she found me and added me on Facebook. Since then we have grown extremely close and are dating. This year i am a junior and we have prom. My school has a rule that only STUDENTS can go to junior prom. She goes to a differet highschool so she cant go. I still want to go with a group of my friends. My girlfriend and I cant come to an agreement. She doesnt want me to go but i really want to go. She said i can go to hers instead of my own. But it wouldnt be the same. What should I do?

Let me tell you something right off the bat: If she's going to be jealous about you going with another girl, then obviously she isn't loyal enough and has insecurity issues. I mean, YOU definitely know that you're not going to be hooking up with another girl, and if she can't trust your word for that, then sorry to say, but it's time to get a new girlfriend. I've had friend whose situation was similar to yours, and he's happy to be broken up with her, because he realized that she was just clingy and overprotective from the start of the relationship. Go ahead and take another girl. I mean, you only get one prom, right? It's YOUR night, not anybody else's, no matter what your girl says. And even if you do take another girl, see what your girlfriend says. Sometimes the truth is the best thing for a relationship like yours. Don't let other people control your life. With that being said, don't let me control it either( to make a decision for you), but do what YOU think is right. I hope you and your girlfriend can come to agreement on something. Good luck!

Go with your girl man. Relationships are about sacrifice. Plus, making your woman happy will make you happy. Trust me on this.

Hey bro, we have the same name. That's wsup. Don't take your girl if she's gonna be like that. Your first answerer is correct, cause i've had a girlfriend like that too and it was bogus. I hate girls like that. Pretty good that you been dating her for a while, but take another girl if you wanna. Trust me on this, not that other dude, because i've known girls like that. I've dated a lot of people...

Please, please don't take your girlfriend! Don't listen to that guy! I know where I'm coming from, because that happened to my best friend!! She only was jealous, too, and it did not end good. Please listen. Take the other girl because YOLO! Hahahaha! That's what I live by!! Ten months of dating isn't enough to make a decision like this! Don't listen to that guy pleaseee! He doesn't know what he's talking about. And hey, all three of the other people say to take the other girl!! (:
