blocking someone on facebook vs deactivation?
Ok so I'm trying to get over my ex boyfriend...

At first, I deactivated my facebook for a week which was nice but a week later I hate to reactivate because of sorority recruitment.

I was wondering if, because I have to have my FB, I could block him and his friends and would it still have the same effect?

It should, by blocking someone on Facebook you don't receive any of their updates and they don't receive any of yours. You could also "unfriend" them, but if the went through their friends list you would no longer show up, and there is a possibility they might notice... to me blocking is the best option, I was once in this situation and that's what i did.
