How to make an Avatar?

i am new to this and i see some people have avatars, when i went to change my profile picture it gave me the options to upload from Facebook,to upload from my computer, or neither. id like to make an avatar and do not know how to even begin, please help.

To change your avatar,You can do this:

1)Create your own Yahoo!Avatar

OR

2)Upload your preferred avatar/picture

Go to your upper left screen,where you can see"Hi[your name].Click it and click"Profile"

Point your mouse cursor to your current pic frame and click when you can see a pencil icon and"change picture"

Click"Upload" and then browse through your computer for the picture you like to use as your avatar.Adjust the position or size of the picture and click"SAVE"when you're done.

Go here , http://profile.yahoo.com top center put the arrow on your avatar, click change picture.
From there you can upload a image from your computer or import a picture from facebook.

If you want a custom avatar go to one of these sites and make a custom avatar, save it to your computer and upload it as a picture.
