Status for different friend groups on facebook?

I have question about the status from facebook
I have all my friends in different groups and I wonder if its possible
to write a status for only one group so the others cant see it that would be great. Just tried it out with clicking on one of the group's ( there are listed on the right side ) and putting the status in but still every friend group could see it?!

Honey, just settle your Privacy Settings. Go on Settings at the top of the page, view Privacy Settings. There will be an option as to whom can see your Status, Links and Updates and who cannot. That is very easy, and newly installed by the Admin. Enjoy.
