what do you think determines who gets shown in your facebook sidebar?

you know not the "top friends" on your profile but the ones in the sidebar?? I really have no idea what it could be but i know it's not random because it's usually not the same people. So you know if you know ANYTHING on it i would appreciate it if you told me because i am very curious.

The people in your sidebar are the people you interact most with wether it's wall posts or chatting.

I think it's less about private messages and more about who you interact with the most publicly. So wall posts, comments on statuses, pictures, etc...
