How do I get more followers on tumblr?

I just started it about a day or so ago.
I have a pretty decent following on Twitter, and was hoping some of you had some tips on getting more followers on Tumblr.
I really love the site but, don't like posting when not many people are reading.
Kind of seems pointless.
Any ideas are welcome

I just go around searching for open y!a questions like this one.
also, you'll usually have to follow other people to get them to follow you. in this case, you'll find a lot of random people on tumblr through reblogs and people you follow. just follow the 'random people' you like and they'll probably follow you back.

Just do lots of reblogging, "liking" and post interesting pictures! Try

Just browse other people's tumblrs. Some of them will follow you back. it's happened to me (:
