How Do I Alter My Facebook Privacy Settings?

I've just started using an alternative facebook account that only my close friends are on and only they can see and comment on stuff but the privacy settings won't let me alter the privacy settings that fine because the privacy settings have changed. I want it so that ONLY MY FRIENDS ON THE ACCOUNT can comment on things like pictures, tagged pictures, posts etc but anyone outside of the account cannot, can anyone give me some pointers on how to do that? Facebook have made it hard delieberatly; they dont want you to be secretive of your information. Soon as people start enjoying the benefits of privacy Facebook netwokring will go down the pan.
