Facebook ads based on user profile history or your computer internet history?

So for example: Say you were a guy who loves cars, and the ads you get are about cars. Obviously it's based on your history. but does this mean the computer browsing history? If you were to log into someone else's computer with your profile, would you still get the same ads?

I think ads show up depending on where do u live and the pages u like.

Actually not. Websites can't have access to your browsing history, only addons and toolbars. I know this because I own a website...
