I have children ill kiss them on the cheek but never make them kiss me on the mouth. I have a facebook friend whos profile picture is kissing her baby on the mouth and him kissin her back it just seemed verey wrong
is it really affection to french kiss them? would u do that when theyre 12? how far cann affection go b4 its wrong, thats disgusting, you putting your nastiness in their mouth, what about showing them lots of affection without giving them your germs like kisses on the cheek and lots of hugs creep

I french kiss my kids at times on special occasions. There is nothing wrong with showing affection to your kids . It is actually healthier for them than to be so stand-offish that you refuse to kiss them. Kids desire affection and even crave it. They will end up acting out when they get older if they aren't given the affection they need.
EDIT: As a nurse, please Google how germs are spread, considering hugs, handshakes and cheeky kisses also spread germs, along with simply saying, "I love you." Get an education, please. Your poor child.

I actually think it does look a bit weird, but I've never really thought much of it, wouldn't do it myself though.

It isn't weird at all to kiss your kids on the mouth. I think it would start getting a little strange after they were like, eight or nine.
But I would NEVER french kiss my kids. That is weird.

It's only wrong if their intentions are wrong.

Personally, my family has never kissed me on the mouth and I had always thought that was for adults in a relationship only, until I noticed a lot of my friends kissed their family on the mouth. I thought it was really gross and weird at first, but then I realized it was just a taboo for me because I didn't know any different than from how my family acted. It's not as if anyone in their family had any sexual intentions when they kissed each other. As for spreading germs and what not, you could also argue that it can help boost the immune systems of the younger kids, I mean if family is hanging around each other all the time, chances are they already breathe the same germs and would get them eventually anyway, not to mention, if that were the case, should anyone be allowed to kiss on the mouth, even non-family members? I don't think it's that big of a deal, taboos are all in your head.
