Why did he block me on facebook?

Hi, my ex boyfriend just blocked me and I am very confused.

So I last talked to him or saw him in August and w.e things weren't horrible when they ended like w.e.

After that we still remained like friends on facebook and like other social media and what not but like thats nothing special and I didnt give much thought to that.

But now it is october and he blocked me on the 9th and I am very confused.
He also deleted his twitter account and tumblr account.

I thought he deleted fb as well but ive talked to one of my GF and she said he still has it, but i am blocked.

My birthday just past also and he wished me a happy birthday like he texted me so I am not entirely sure why he did that.

How ever I have been started seeing someone new and my crush took me to a restaurant that my ex's friend works at , I didnt say anything to my crush and just went with my crush, I did not see the friend working the whole time so im wondering if he was working and saw me and that's why he blocked me. Or is it someother reason ? I am soo confused.

Perhaps because you're stalking him?

If you weren't incessantly clicking on his profile, how would you even know you're blocked and on which date you were blocked on?

How would your gf know you're blocked unless he told her you were blocked?
