trying to make sense of all the search and data theft and collection and what it's used for?

and what I'm trying to slag through seems ridiculously...over engineered, I guess would be the most polite way to say it...is there a one button, don't want info collected, don't want history tracked, don't want browsing, don't want behavioral ads, don't want personalized ads, don't want to learn about how ads are used, don't want to manage, thank you very much but don’t do anything or collect anything or use anything in anyway whatsoever (no matter how much awesomer it would make my internet browsing experience), just a politely worded leave me the frack alone button? If there is not a one-button kinda thing, what all would have to be done, and how long would it take, and how often would I need to do it to get as close as possible to the ‘leave me the frack alone’ position?
I came across this ‘Do Not Track Plus’ thing a couple of weeks ago, from Abine.com. Anyone have some unbiased opinions on this? It tells me it’s blocked over 14k attempts so far, but I don’t know how I could verify that.
One last thing...why does everyone want me to ‘like them’? Is it just to jockey for listing position during searches? I understand I’m kind of like the Emperor’s new clothes on this thing, but I really do not wish to drink the kool-aid, 4 years ago I set up the barest of skeletal structures on a facebook account, and even though I’ve not logged in probably over two years now I’m still getting harassed about requests and pendings and notifications ad naseum...am I gonna have the Zuckerberg private hospitality and team-building security force showing up in the middle of the night asking me why I don’t want to play ball, and don’t I know there is no ‘I’ in team?
