Twitter virus, how do it get rid?

So I stupidly click on this link after someone I didn't know sent me a direct message which said 'someone is sending horrible rumours about you' and it had a link, was very stupid of me to click on it seeing as I had only just got twitter and didn't have any of my friends on twitter at the time!

And now it's sending out that exact message or similar words with a link to people that are following me or I'm following

Anyone have any ideas on how I stop this, it's really annoying!! HELP!! Thanks
And by the way, I did this on an iPad, so don't have any antivirus stuff on it as I don't think you can get that on iPads

Have you scanned your system with an anti-virus program and/or Malware bytes? If not then please download malwarebytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org and install update and scan your system.

Also run hijackthis: http://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/
