how long have you been talking to them on line for? that could make a difference in my answer. if its been a long time then i guess its ok to go meet them but if its been a short time then I would say wait and don't go. IT IS DANGEROUS EITHER WAY NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU'VE KNOWN EACH OTHER. I say that because how do you know the one you have on face book didn't give you someone else's name like a friend. The person you are talking to maybe telling the truth or maybe giving you a friends info OR that person you are talking could be a male or someone bad. There is really no way to answer this question. Just if you go then just relax and arrange to meet in a place that's crowded where a lot of people will be like a restaurant or something. HOPE IT WORKS OUT.

I know this isn't a back and forth sort of forum, so my questions are ones to ask yourself.

Is there someone nearby either of these people that you already know? If you meet, say, the person in Louisiana (orLos Angeles - I can't tell which you mean) and for whatever reason the two of you simply don't hit it off. What's plan B? Can you call on someone you already know in the area and spend a couple days with them? Or are you just kinda stuck? Even an afternoon with someone that isn't at all in person the way she is online could seem like forever! Before you head out from home, make a plan B ...maybe even a plan C! Study what's around where you're going to be. If you find yourself uncomfortable know where there is a museum or tourist attraction where you could spend a pleasant day and not feel as if you must stay around someone you don't really know who makes you uncomfortable.

Of course, all the usual "rules" about meeting online friends in person apply: meet in a public place, make sure someone from home knows your plans and have your cell phone handy in case you need to touch base with someone if things don't go well.

There's np real way to guarantee safety since you'll be thousands of miles from home and meeting strangers. You don't mention your age, but if you're not an adult (and not just in age only) put off your plans until you've got more real living on your side.
