How to get to know someone on Facebook who I haven't met?
I was recently looking for a work colleagues profile on Facebook and although I couldn't find their profile, I noticed that I have a "Mutual Friend" with my colleagues son Mark. (Im 24 and Mark is 26). I don't know how 'My Mutual friend' on Facebook called Sean knows Mark, as both Sean and I went to the same High School and Mark went to a different HS in the area. I have heard really good things about Mark and would love to get to know him but I really don't know how to go about it. He's super cute and we have the same interests but receiving a message from a total stranger might be a bit creepy.

Im just surprised I haven't met him before because of interests/activities etc and we live so close too, I guess the world isn't as small as I thought lol
Hey, Im really not good at explaining this story but:
Sean is my friend who I went to HS with
Mark is Sean's friend
Mark is the guy I want to get to know.

Message him saying I saw where we went to the same high school and ask about high school.

Hi! Maybe send him a message and explain your friends with sean and say that you're wanting to get to know him because people keep talking about him maybe?
Or you could get sean to invite you both out together and then you'd have an excuse to add him as a mate as you'd seen him before?
