Tips on stopping my own obsessive thoughts?
Basically, I'm seeing this guy,and recently I've noticed an increase in the amount of time he's on my mind. I check my facebook to see if he's online, constantly and go on his profile all the time, constantly want to talk to him or be around him, he's in my dreams often, if he goes a day without talking to me I get kinda depressed. I don't tell him any of this since it freaks even me out, I can only imagine how it would make him feel. I don't like that he's on my mind nearly 24/7, I'd kinda like a bit of peace in my own head y'know. I'd like to have a more normal, healthy look on the relationship.

Now I do actually have a feeling for why I'm being kind of obsessive. 1. Prior to this I was in a long distant relationship where I'd talk to/skype the guy nearly all day, since neither of us had anything better to do anyway, so I'm used to constant communication. 2. I'm getting clingy since he's an emotional comfort through my pretty screwed up family troubles right now. So anyway, are there any things I could do to try and sort of get some more control over my head here? I'm not normally this way in a relationship and it's freaking me out.

don't worry its quite normal. relax. it happens With all. if you are really having a good feeling towards a person it happens... you feel to be With that person all the time.

first try something new in your life, make new friends, get busy, play games. listen to music. Try to divert your mind in smething more interesting like i don't know what is your interest. concentrate on that.

don't talk to him quite often, purposefully try yourself keeping busy,,,, its hard i know but give a try.

later things will get back to normal

all the best

oh girl, we got the exact same problem :/ but what i suggest is that you right everything your feeling down on a piece of paper and throw it away or burn it or keep it whatever works for you. this has worked for me most of the time you should try it

Believe it or not, but you actually don't seem obsessed to me. I believe you're just simply in love. The day you're REALLY obsessed with him is the day you're sitting outside his house and talking to him on the phone without his being aware of you outside. Not that's obsessed.

You're very young & need something to do that you love doing, this will stop mostly of your mind being on this guy. Try thinking if he thought of you that way, you wouldn't like it at all & figure why don't he get a hobby or something. You must know that God in Heaven loves you very much, his son Jesus The Christ loves you also & they can help you more than anyone. Just believe they will help straighten out any type of problems you may have family & otherwise. Please, Please it works.
