How do I get rid of timeline on facebook?

I didn't make an app, so don't suggest deleting the app I made. My friend had got, so I went to his page and it said "try timeline now" or something like that. Pleaseeeeeeeee help me get rid of it! Thanks! I want the old facebook back.

Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement about the deployment of the upgrade in any of its official pages, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size are never optional.

there is no way to take it off... you are stuck with the timeline format from now on, and everyone else is being converted to timeline this/next week anyways
