My 4th generation IPod touch keep closing out of the apps I try to open?

I've had my IPod since the summer of 2011 and it hasn't acted up until about 2 weeks ago. I would be on my Facebook app. and it would just randomly close it. It didn't happen all the time, just sometimes. But now I try opening any app and it'll close it. I have deleted my Facebook app. and only have Pandora, Text now, and Photobucket downloaded. I also have music. My IPod is an 8 GB and it says that I still have 1.2 GB available. My Text now app. will open if someone texts me but when I try to open it myself it'll close. It will also close out of my email when I try to open an email, and that app. came pre-installed on it.
My IPod also isn't letting me take pictures. It deleted the like...12 photos I had and when I try to open my photos library it has to "rebuild" it each time.
My warranty has run out and I have no customer service set up. So please help!

What you should do is power it off and back on again, that's what fixes mine when it happens to me. If that doesn't work, just back it up in iTunes, and restore it to the back up you created. It should work then.
