okay so i just got a twitter and i got emails saying 5 people are following me but then when i go to my page it says i have 0 followers.

help! how does it show that i have followers!

There's a lot of "spam" accounts that are just following you to try to sell or promote something to you. Twitter tries really hard to delete these as soon as possible, so they won't show up in your following list as soon as they're deleted. Click the link in the email that let's you see that person's profile. More than likely it will say something to the effect of "their account was suspended due to suspicious activity." Otherwise, you're doing it all right!
