why verified twitter profile get more followers?

I'm just thinking that many of people on twitter has a blue tick after their name (Verified Profile) and they have actually more than 5000+ followers so think if a normal persons get verified on twitter do he also got more followers ?
and please don't tell that a normal person can't get verified.

Mostly verified profiles are of celebrities, politicians, artists and singers. Verified sign shows that it is original account of his person then his/her fans follow him/her. In this way a verified profile always has maximum followers.

A normal person can make his profile as verified profile. But he/she must pass all requirements for it.

Those people are celebrities and politicians and they have to be verified because people make fake accounts.

That being said, it may be possible for a commoner like yourself to get verified, but I am unsure how to do that.

No, you cannot get verified unless you are famous. The verification process is to distinguish real celebrities from fake accounts so people know which ones to follow. The process is all internal - when Twitter staff see a celebrity's account they will email that person to confirm it's their account - there is no other 'process' you can go through to get verified as a celebrity because you're not one (presumably).

Having many followers have nothing to do with being verified. Verified is just saying you are who you are..authenticity. Normal people have a lot of followers too..
