Why does my facebook timeline say I have 120+ extra friends?

So about a week and a half ago I had a deleting splurge and cut my friends list down to about 840 people; After that i deactivated by account so as to revise for A-level exams, and two days ago, when i reactivated, my timeline says that i have 960 friends? This has persisted to today and its really bugging me. Any thoughts would be appreciated ;D

Ikr the same thing happened to me. I think it is just a glitch.

Same thing happened to me. I looked at my friends and it has started including the friends that deactivated their accounts on your friends list. Though you cannot look at their posts or pictures, they are now included as part of your friends.
