Are there any cool apps for facebook?

I know that facebook has more of a "plain" look than myspace.. and personally i actually like fb better!!! but knowing that there are alot of apps for facebook to do some cool things.. does anyone know if there are any profile apps such as making your profile look different then the original "white" background??? Thanks in advance ppl!!!

I joined one that was against the "is" on the Facebook status, (Because I wanted to write things like, Jonathan has a head ache, instead of Jonathan is has a headache, and after a while it is optional now!
