Are there any ways to block these ads/pop ups?
I have pop up blocker on all the time but sometimes when I visit sites like youtube, ebay, facebook,etc, I get a pop up asking me to partake in a stupid survey. How can I prevent this?

you probably have a program (ex. gamevance) that does that, just find the program and uninstall it

I have ad block plus (or pro?) and i just right click the ad and select BLOCK
