Making money on facebook by creating ads? How to do that?

I've heard a lot that there are ppl who actually make real money on facebook! And I desperately need that money, so I was wondering how it works and if I would have to pay money first in order to get paid later.. Plz I need details. Thank you
P.S I dont wanna make an application it's too complicated to me xD , I'm asking about how to make ads and how it all works.. thanks again for any help..

You have to pay money as facebook is letting you advertise on their website reaching out to millions of people.
They are the ones making the most money.

You then make money from people clicking on your advert and going to buy your advertised product.
So I assume you already have a business, product, or shop you are trying to advertise.
