Does anybody else absolutely hate follow for follows on Twitter or Tumblr or blog Youtube :(?

I know it may sound selfish but I hate when people ask me to exchange follows with our Twitters! It doesnt really count as earning a follower! Because think about it...anyone who is truly a fan of you will follow you even though you dont follow them back. It just doesnt feel like you are earning a fan because you would gain that follower out of some friendly agreement instead of what you actually have to offer.

And also say for example you have a blog about nature and then somebody who makes a blog about politics follows you and asks if you can follow them back. Your topics may be too different so you would have no reason to follow them!

I mean I wouldnt want to hurt anybodys feelings by not following them back but I just wish they knew that I dont mean it personally its just an internet thing.

***Plus getting followers is nearly IMPOSSIBLE!! You can try and try for weeks and only get 2 new followers! Especially if you are competing with millions of other blogs that talk about the same thing. Some people need as many true followers as possible.***

Hell yeah, but I don't use Twitter, but they have something similar to that, and they use it on Youtube and call it, "Sub 4 Sub". I don't think ANYBODY likes people like that. They are just selfish, and even if they do say they like your channel, they don't even mean it. It's kinda like a bribe, if you ask me.
