How long will a Facebook profile last if user does not log in ever again?

My friend tragically died just wondered how long her profile would remain on Facebook if she never was to log in again? It's nice to leave a message every now and again..

It will remain indefinitely.

It will stay until deactivated, but your right it will be nice to leave a message every now and then. When my brother died we left his face book account for a few months and all of his friends left some really nice messages which were a real comfort for us to read, luckily my younger sis knew his password and we recently deactivated the account, one of his friends started a group for him so we can still leave messages for him now.

it will be there forever. you need to deactivate it, but it will never delete on its own.
