How does Facebook suggest friends who are not friends of friends etc?

How does Facebook suggest friends who are not friends of friends etc?
I opened a new Facebook account for my business but didn't add my friends or allow email access to Facebook. Yet it still suggested friends from my other account - how does it know??

It suggests people from the same business or from people in your area/location Smile
