Online searches showing up on Facebook ads?
So I recently bought an engagement ring for my girlfriend/soon to be fiancé and I bought the ring at a place called "brilliant earth". Anyways she doesn't know yet at all I'm hoping cuz it's supposed to be a surprise and while I was sitting next to her and she was on facebook I noticed an ad that was for brilliant earth with the exact ring I bought her. Someone told me that Facebook pulls your searches and posts ads relevant to your searches. So my question is if my girlfriend somehow found out and searched for "brilliant earth" and found the exact ring that I bought would this show up as a Facebook ad? I mean it seems like too much of a coincidence to me. I'm trying to figure out how she knows or if she knows. Thanks in advance for any input.

Clear your browser history (in particular the cookies). Most likely Brilliant Earth (or Google or Facebook) put a cookie on your machine when you were searching for and/or purchasing your ring. I get this all the time!, clearing cookies should solve it.
