How start getting followers on a twitter parody account?

So far I'm pretending to be Velma from scooby doo! (Real_Dinkley) And I started following #TEAMFOLLOWBACK accounts but I already have some fans though. So far I have 288 followers, which I think is good for an account that has just opened recently. But I've stopped gaining followers so what do I do now? I don't wanna follow any more teamfollowback. I want to have thousands of real fans like other hilarious parody accounts do? So how do I achieve what they have?

Your best bet is to hire a social media expert. There are several out there, but if you go this path you will want to make sure that these people use "Social Responsible" means of building your follow list. This includes not using spam bots and other means.

There is a company here in Vermont (where I live) called Vermont Media Solutions that does just this. A link to their CL ad is at the bottom.

The basic theory though is to follow one person and hope that they follow you back. You can do it yourself if you have the time. But often times if you do it yourself it ends up being "untargeted" and the people who follow you back don't really care about reading your posts. The software to do it is expensive, so I recomend checking those guys out.

use hashtags alot & also get other parody accounts to tell them to follow you and when you make a tweet hashtag that people will like

Try starting a social exchange campaign. Join websites like http://www.socialclerks.com/ and start earning credits by following other people or if you don't want to gain more "following"you can like facebook pages, view youtube videos among other stuff, as I said all of this will earn you credits, you can then use those credits whenever if feel like it to get your own twitter followers. Its a simple exchange system and once you get the idea of it you will eventually be able to develop quite a bunch of followers.
