How did Facebook know I am interested in this? I'm pretty creeped out about what else they know...

Well google sometimes records your IP to show you some of the things you searched on google, but somewhere else. For example, FB allows Google Ads, so they show you the recent search interests you made on google.

The ads on Facebook are supplied by Google through Google ad sense. Ad sense is a program by Google which allows you to put ads on your website, in return you get payed. Facebook uses ad sense so when you search something on google, google will know that you are interested in it and display ads for it.
