How come the privacy settings on facebook don't work?

I'm trying to set up my fb account so certain people can see stuff on my timeline. So I went to the privacy settings and set it up to the custom style privacy and created the list of people I want excluded from seeing my facebook.

However, I go to the View As part of fb and type in name of person I want excluded. But the view as page still shows everything that should be hidden.

Any help would be awesome

if you are just doing it with the main privacy setting, you arent understanding how facebook works

you have to set each post you made to individual settings, not use the global setting - the global setting only applies to items that do not have their own individual audience selector
