Would this bother you?
I saw my friend last week. SHe asked me to loan her $40 and promised to pay me back on Nov.1 when she got her check. I told her I needed to keep my money cuz I made promises to my child and was taking him shopping and could not wait. She said ok and all was fine. Well Nov. 1st her phone was shut off and I have not been able to reach her since then and she has NOT called me. However she is on facebook . I can't message her there cuz she blocked me a while back once she said she was afraid her ex boyfriend would find her thru me on facebook??? Whatever.
Good thing I did not loan her the money since I have NOT been able to reach her!!! Is all of this ....weird tho?? What are your first thoughts?
I can't see her from my account of Facebook but my friend says she is on there everyday..so I know she's ok.

Seems sketchy. and it seems as though she's mad that you didn't lend her the money. Which i don't blame you for. i don't lend money to friends as you can't guarentee getting it back.

That would bother me. The first thought that came to mind was that something bad happened to her, but the more I think about it, the more I think that she's mad at you. I suggest that you go to her house.

Kind of weird all-in-all. I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and wait a (little) while to see if she pops up.

When it comes to family, friends, or other personal relationships, there is no such thing as a loan. If you consider them gifts that will never be repaid, you won't be disappointed. It a simple fact: most people don't repay loans.

She probably got someone else to loan her money and switched phone numbers so that the same someone else couldn't reach her. I knew a lot of girls who wouldn't give me there numbers because their boyfriends (who I've never met or heard about) prohibit other men from having their numbers and they dare to expect me to take them seriously.
Most people don't repay loans unless they know that there's some kind of power over them that makes them pay. Sure everyone can sound very convincing, but that's the point. Real friends shouldn't ask for loans, but on the other hand you can offer with out expecting anything in return.
