being blocked on facebook?

so i was talking to this guy and i decided i wanted to end it and now on facebook were not friends so either he deleted his facebook or blocked me. how do you know the difference? im still friends with his friends on facebook and they didnt block me and in one of the photos that both people are in, the guy is still tagged but his name doesnt have a link to his profile...did he block me?
