Is the legal or illegal to do on facebook?
My tutor at my collage had a group on facebook she made a while ago for our class she teachers and when we started in september she asked us all to join it so we all did basically she just posts about any news about any work, trips etc that was going on but the other day she put me and other person in a status saying about our work has been thrown away because the other student left his on the desk and mine had been deleted off the computer because apparently i did not log off and she is always the last person to leave that room so i would of thought she would of logged me out and turns off the all the computers, now i was under the impression tutors were not allowed to write things about you in a status even if its in a private group for the class on facebook surely this is not allowed can someone please clarify this for me
p.s she put the status in the group about me as she tagged me in it

First Google 'Teacher posts work on Facebook' there is several links you can read.

As your issue wasn't actually your work posted but was somewhat private to you, I would be a grown up about the situation and contact the teacher and explain what they did was inappropriate, ask them to remove the public post and they should apologise to you.

You could obviously take things further and contact the head of the school and let them deal with it.

In school they would be in serious trouble, but your in college now; an adult enviroment and so you should act maturely when dealing with this sitation. you cannot report them, because you agreed to the group on facebook and because they didnt write anything malicious or 'private' if you think about it.

you could complain to your teacher and get it removed, but going further would be hurtful and have no real point behind it.

Plus, how old are you? Regardless to any of it, it is your responisiblity to look after your work not your teacher; why would she log you out? that's a responsibility you have to look after yourself.

Yes it's legal. And I sincerely hope she's tutoring you in English class.
