Did he invite me by mistake?

This guy and I went on a few dates over the summer, he suggested we get together but never made plans to follow up (and neither did I because I had initiated most things). I wrote him off, and saw him at a party last weekend. He was a little rude, asking me if I wanted to make out and commenting on my butt, so I left it and he was off flirting with other girls the rest of the evening. He invited me to a fundraiser for his football team this weekend on facebook; he didn't make the group, it wasn't a mass invite and I have other friends that didn't invite me but he did. Do you think it was a mistake? Is he looking to hook up? I can't go, should I tell him I can take a raincheck or what?

I think there are multiple reasons why he invited you it could be probably cause he wanted to apologize for what he did or he wanted to get to know you better, or he just might wanna hook up with you.

It might be awkward but you need to go ask him why he invited you after being a douche. It might be a mistake which is why you should ask him.

I don't think it was a mistake. It's obvious that he wants to hook up with you. He hopes to have you at his beck and call, which means he probably doesn't respect you. Don't even offer him a rain check. He's not worth your time.
