Good Ipod touch apps?

Ok, so i have an Ipod touch 2nd generation and i can hardly get ANY games because of how old it is. So i was wondering two things. How do i know what games i can get, like what's the IOS on a 2nd gen, because I buy a game and then it says it's not compatible with my iPod. Second, what are some good apps for my version iPod? I like puzzler apps where you have to use your brain ( like Mahjong, sudoku etc.) and no kind of social apps like Facebook and instagram and stuff. thank you

To find out what your iOS is go to the settings, it's somewhere in there. And make sure it's as updated as the 2g can get. A GREAT puzzle game is "flow free". Some other apps I have on my iPod touch 2g is angry birds, temple run, zombie ville USA 1 and 2, jet pack joyride, fruit ninja, doodle jump, the impossible game, flick champs, and tiny wings.
